Community Safety Tips
- To protect yourself and your privacy, never share any personally identifiable information with another player on Shockwave. Do not give other players your telephone number; email address, home address, the name of the company your work for, or the name of your school. Never post personal pictures of yourself or your family on Shockwave.
- Don't give out your password. Shockwave staff members will not ask you for your password, and we will never e-mail you a request for your password.
- Be cautious of others. If another player on Shockwave says something offensive, sends you something unsolicited, or you see something on Shockwave that makes you uncomfortable, please let us know by using this form and we will investigate and take any necessary action.
- All Shockwave content is posted on Shockwave, by Shockwave. We strongly urge you to delete e-mails, files, or web pages that you get from people you don't know or trust. Do not follow any links posted by other players on Shockwave. These links could potentially lead to viruses that may damage your computer. Please be wary of any Shockwave "competitions" outside the Shockwave domain. All Shockwave promotions are contained within our site and any Shockwave content outside the Shockwave site is not endorsed by Shockwave and should be engaged in at your own risk.
We reserve the right to terminate access to any community feature at our sole discretion for any reason.
My Shockwave
What is My Shockwave?
My Shockwave is your personal home on Shockwave.com. From here, you have quick access to your favorite games, games you've recently viewed, your token activity, friends, and more. You can also use My Shockwave to update your public profile or change your account settings, such as e-mail preferences and billing information.
How do games show up in Recently Viewed?
When you're signed in and visit a game on Shockwave, that game will automatically be added to your "Recently Viewed" games.
How do I add games to my Favorites?
To add a game to your Favorites list, click the "Add to Favorites" link on the top of any game page.
What is the difference between Current Token Balance and Lifetime Tokens Earned?
What is the difference between Current Token Balance and Lifetime Tokens Earned?
Current Token Balance represents the number of tokens a Shockwave member currently has available to use.

The Trophy Case has been removed as of December 2021 with the retirement of the Adobe Flash platform.

How do I get a Shockwave community profile?
Starting a Shockwave profile is quick, easy, and FREE. Just set up a free Shockwave account using the "Join Now" link at the top of any Shockwave page. After you successfully create your account, you can log in and see your profile.
Is a Shockwave community profile free?
Yes! Setting up a profile on Shockwave is absolutely free. Visit our registration page to find out more.
What can I do with my Shockwave community profile?
You can use your Shockwave profile to let other players know a little more about you, create a Game Face with a fully personalized look, show off your favorite games and reviews, make friends, and more. How do I get an avatar to use on Shockwave?
Click the "My Shockwave" tab at the top of any Shockwave page. If you are not already signed in to Shockwave, you will be prompted to sign in or create a free Shockwave account. When you arrive at the My Shockwave main page, click the "Edit my Game Face" link, and then choose from one of the various icons that we’ve prepared. Change your avatar as often as you like! How do I manage my account settings such as email preferences, community preferences, billing, etc?
Click the "My Shockwave" tab at the top of any Shockwave page, and then choose the "Account Settings" link.
What are Tokens?
Shockwave tokens are your reward for being awesome! You can earn tokens by scoring big in games or by participating in certain activities on the site. You can use your tokens to up the ante in games like poker, keno, and slots!

What is the difference between Current Token Balance and Lifetime Tokens Earned?
Current Token Balance represents the number of tokens a Shockwave member currently has available to use. Lifetime Tokens Earned shows the number of tokens a Shockwave member has ever earned on the site, including those they may have later spent or lost.

Avatars
What is a Game Face/avatar?
Your Game Face is a character that represents you on your profile and throughout Shockwave. You must have a free Shockwave or a Shockwave UNLIMITED account to have a profile and a Game Face. You can customize your profile by selecting from our set of predesigned game icons. You can change your Game Face as often as you like. In the gallery, click on image you want to represent you and then hit ‘Save.' Recently used avatars will be displayed below your current avatar.
How do I select a game icon/character to represent me on Shockwave?
To have a Game Face, you must have a free Shockwave or a Shockwave UNLIMITED account. Sign in to Shockwave from the member pod at the top right of any Shockwave page. After you sign in, click the "My Shockwave" tab at the top of any Shockwave page, and you will be forwarded to your personal hub page. On your My Shockwave page, click "Edit My Game Face," which will take you to your Game Face Gallery. In the gallery, click on image you want to represent you and then hit ‘Save.' Recently used avatars will be displayed below your current avatar.
Friends
What is Friends?
Shockwave lets you connect with other members by becoming friends on the site. When you become friends with other members, you can compare scores, achievements, favorite games, and, of course, view your friends' profiles to see what they've been up to on Shockwave. We'll be introducing many new social features soon, so get out there and make some friends!
How can I invite friends?
If your friends are already on Shockwave, just go to their profile pages and click the "Add to Friends" button. If your friends aren't on Shockwave, or you don't know whether or not they're on Shockwave, click the "Invite Friends" link on your "Friends" page in My Shockwave. When you invite someone to join your Friends list, they will receive an email, and after they accept they will automatically be added to your friends.
How can I view my friends?
You can view all your friends by clicking the "View All" link in the My Friends section of your My Shockwave page.
How can I manage my friends?
You can view and manage your friends by clicking the "Manage Friends" link on your My Shockwave page.
How can I accept a Friend Request?
New Members - If you're not currently a Shockwave member, click the "Join now!" link in the invitation email. Follow the instructions to sign up for a FREE Shockwave account and accept the request on your Profile page.
Existing Members - Click the "Add [name] to your Friends list" link in the invitation email. Log in and accept the request on your Manage Your Friends page.
How can I block friends?
Block friends by clicking the "Block" button next to the friend's name. A message will appear asking you to confirm or cancel this action. You can block and unblock friends at any time.
How can I unblock friends?
Unblock friends by clicking the "Unblock" button next to the friend's name in the Users You Have Blocked section of your Friends page. A message will appear asking you to confirm or cancel this action. You can block and unblock friends at any time.
How can I remove friends?
You can remove friends at any time. Just click the "Remove" button next to the friend's name. A message will appear asking you to confirm or cancel this action. After a friend is removed from your profile, you must re-invite him or her to become friends again. If you are not sure you want to remove a friend permanently, you might consider blocking him or her first.
How can I hide the "Friend Invitation" link on my Profile page?
Go to your My Shockwave page and click the "Communications/Privacy Settings" link under the Account Information section. Here you can choose whether or not to receive Shockwave Friend Requests. By selecting the "No" option, a friend invitation link will not be available on your Public Profile page. This will prevent other Shockwave members from sending Friend Requests via your Profile page. However, members who know your email address can still contact you directly.
How can I block Friend Invitations?

Reviews
My review did not show up after I submitted it. What happened?
It's possible that a word or string of words in your review was found to violate our Terms of Use and your posting was filtered for examination by our staff. If you think this was done mistakenly, please try posting your review again. If it still does not appear, please use this form to send your review and we will look into it.
I noticed inappropriate content in a review on your site. What should I do about it?
Please use this form to report the inappropriate content. Please include the name of the game where you saw the offensive review and the screen name of the member who posted it. The Shockwave team will investigate and remove the review if it is found to be offensive according to the Shockwave Terms of Use.
Report Abuse
I've noticed some inappropriate statements on another member's profile. What should I do?
Please click the "Report Abuse" link on the member's profile page. This will take you through the report process and will automatically supply us with a link to the member in question's profile. After you've submitted a report, the Shockwave team will investigate and remove the content if we find that it has violated Shockwave's Terms of Use or the community spirit of the Shockwave site.
Another member is making inappropriate comments in chat. What should I do?
In the Who's Here list, use your mouse to hover over the screen name of the person making the abusive comments, click "Report Abuse," and then follow the step-by-step instructions to submit a report.
If you no longer have the chat window open, please use this form to report the inappropriate content. When making a report, please tell us the game you were in, what time of day it was, and, if possible, the screen name of the member posting the inappropriate content.
I've reported offensive content but it remains on your web site. Why?
Shockwave's goal is to provide a safe environment for all players and will remove any content that does not comply with our Terms of Use interpreted by us at our sole discretion. It's possible that the content you've reported does not violate our Terms of Use.
